Throughout history new architectural and interior design elements were introduced to the world. While the Elizabethan Era did make a significant change to the average lifestyle, it was the combined contributions of every era that have lead to what we know as modern design.





Modern architecture and interior design often draws inspiration from the Elizabethan Era. Many intricate furniture pieces or architectural features particular to the Elizabethan Era are included in contemporary establishments. These details can be pieces of family history, design  features used to acknowledge their original era or possibly a way of flaunting the owner’s wealth as they were initially used for.
